EDUCATIONAL TOURS

            Educational Tours are those trips that may be organized by school staff or other adults, may be advertised and planned using school facilities and other resources, but are not sanctioned or funded by the School District in any way.  Such tours typically include travel to a foreign country, and take place during school breaks or after school is released for the year.  They are often organized by foreign language teachers and are meant to enrich the educational experience of the students who are able to take advantage of them.

            The Spearfish School District, while acknowledging the potential academic value of such educational tours, does neither officially endorse nor sanction such trips, and has no financial responsibility for delays or other costs related to such tours.
