STUDENT OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL

Spearfish School District 40-2 will not assume any financial responsibility for a student who desires travel outside the state.

Any and all school related student travel outside the state must first be approved by the building administrator. Student(s) traveling must represent a recognized club or organization sponsored by the school district. All fund-raising activities must be approved by the building administrator.

A school representative must travel with the student(s) and the school district will give consideration to financial obligations of the traveling sponsor.

Athletic and fine arts events that desire travel outside the state will be scheduled by the activity director and funded accordingly by the activity budget. State and national federation rules that govern travel outside the state will be followed.
