ORGANIZATION

The organization, management and control of Spearfish School District 40-2 is vested in the Board of Education, which exercises the powers and discharges the duties imposed by the South Dakota constitution and statutes.

It will be the purpose of the Board to provide education of the best obtainable quality for students of the Spearfish School District under 21 years of age, within the limitations imposed by the ability of the taxpayers to pay and the willingness to support the educational program. Board members, individually and collectively, act as representatives of the residents of the school district in maintaining and promoting schools.
