A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SPEARFISH SCHOOL DISTRICT 40-2, LAWRENCE COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA, WAS HELD AT THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE BUILDING ON THE 3RD DAY OF MARCH, 2005. THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: President Aaker, Steen, and Aslesen. Administration present were: Peters and Crosswait. Also present were: Jan Kaus, Heather Ziegenbein, Joe Carr, Linda Foltz, Bobbi Looney, Donna Golliher, John E. Swanson, Kip Roozen, and Everett Follette.

All motions were passed by unanimous vote unless stated otherwise.

President Aaker called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

Dave Peters explained that the bid was in order and that while this money would benefit the school district, it wasn’t a fix to the district’s financial difficulties.

Motion was made by Aslesen, seconded by Steen and carried to approve the sale of Central School to the United Methodist Church for $750,040.73

President Aaker adjourned the meeting at 5:05 p.m.
