Troubleshooting Tips

If you receive this message when trying to login to your computer, try the following steps:

Error Message

1.  Make sure your wireless is turned on.  On the HP 2760p model laptop, the wireless button is located on the left-hand side of the laptop.  If the light is Orange, wireless is turned off.  If the indicator light is Blue, wireless is turned on.  On the HP Elitebook 810 model, the wireless on/off is accessed by pressing the function (fn) key and F12.  If the indicator light on the F12 key is Orange, wireless is turned off.  If there is no indicator light on the F12 key, wireless is turned on.

 

2.  If your wireless is turned on and you still receive the error message when trying to login, reboot your computer.

 

3.  If none of the above steps worked, please come see the help desk and we will assist you.

If you receive the "No data received" or "Page cannot be displayed" error when trying to access the internet, rebooting your computer usually resolves this issue.  If not, please come see the help desk for assistance.
