SPEARFISH HIGH SCHOOL
CREDIT RECOVERY SUMMER SCHOOL
JUNE 2009

Spearfish High School will offer summer school credit recovery opportunities to students during the month of June 2009.  Each student will be allowed to take one course during that time.  One half (.5) credit may be earned.  Two courses will be allowed with prior approval only.

Registration forms may be picked up in the office from Mrs. Apland, Mr. Seyer or Mr. Morford or in the guidance office from Mrs. Aiken, Mrs. Rans or Mrs. Schenk.

Summer School Credit Recovery Information:

  1. Students can sign up for one (1) summer school class and receive .5 credit (1 credit for Math)
  2. Courses available include English, Math, Science and Social Studies
  3. Credit Recovery format – objectives from previously failed classes will be covered
  4. Class fee will be $150.00 – to be paid to Spearfish High School by May 15, 2009
  5. Forms must be returned before May 15, 2009 accompanied with payment
  6. A minimum number of students will need to be enrolled
  7. First class meeting will be June 8, 2009 – 8:00 AM
  8. Instructors will be provided in each core curricular area
  9. Class will meet 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, June 8 – 30, 2009 - Monday through Thursday
  10. If the student completes all class work early, he/she can be finished before June 30, 2009
  11. To receive credit ALL course work must be completed by June 30, 2009
  12. If time permits – students may be allowed to take an additional .5 credit based on space availability and administrative approval
