National Network of Partnership Schools

Johns Hopkins University

  Dr. Joyce L. Epstein, Director

Established by researchers at Johns Hopkins University in 1996, the National Network of Partnership Schools brings together schools, districts, states, and organizations/universities that are committed to developing and maintaining strong programs of school, family, and community partnerships.  Each Partnership School strengthens its program by addressing six types of involvement and by using an Action Team approach. Districts, states, and organizations assist increasing numbers of schools to conduct these activities.

Educators and families agree that school-family-community partnerships are essential for children’s success.  Based on two decades of research and the work of many educators, parents, students, and others, we know that it is possible for all elementary, middle, and high schools to develop and maintain strong programs of partnership.  States and districts can establish policies and leadership activities that help all schools develop programs of partnership.

If your school, district, state, organization, or university is ready to take action to develop and maintain strong school, family, and community partnerships, you are invited to join the National Network of Partnership Schools. For more information and membership forms for schools, districts, states, or for organizations/university partners.
