Our annual June State Workshop instructors are trained professionals
in their fields; therefore much may be learned by attendance at this symposium. We also have been fortunate to
have many exhibitors attend these workshops to show their products so the participant can see as well as hear about
their uses. One need not be a member to attend these classes as we feel that every
supervisor, custodian or maintenance personel should be allowed
to attend and we welcome their attendance as well as that of any administrator,. Modest registration fees are required
for attendees.
Unit 11 participating in mop
Olympics in Mitchell ( Unit 11 won)
The last Mop Olympics was in Aberdeen and Unit
7 won
This year all the venders got together and had
a venders night, were hoping that next year we will have some other
game or event to participate in.
You may ask, who needs training? We believe that both housekeeping management and personnel need up-to-date training.
Much knowledge is required for the cleaning maintenance professional to properly service and maintain today's facilities.
Yet, many fail to recognize this need or professional status. Therefore, we believe that it should be the responsibility
of both administrators and personnel to seek professional training. As today's investment in buildings is constantly
rising, so must our knowledge.
Training is also necessary for today's boiler operators. We all know that serious injury may befall any of us who
work in a building with and untrained operator at the boiler. Their fist mistake may be every occupant's last,
since we feel so strongly about our commitment to our members, we developed the aforementioned Voluntary Certification
Program. Many custodians have taken advantage of this service over the years.
We try very hard to keep Supervisor, Custodians and Maintenance abreast of current products and trends concerning their ever-changing professions.
Wouldn't you like to join us? We'd be pleased to have YOU as one of our concerned-for-the-future-friends! Thank
you for considering us in YOUR future.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our meetings and workshops in
June
