Eighth Grade Choir
 
    
       Any eighth grade student enrolled at Spearfish Middle School is eligible to join choir.  It is the goal of the Spearfish Middle School choral program to instill a love of singing and to help them to become intelligent singers.  

       Eighth grade choir continues where seventh grade choir left off.  Students sing in three to five part harmony and begin level II sight-singing courses.  It meets every day from 12:02 - 12:45.  Students are expected to expand upon their knowledge of music theory, ear-training, diction, proper vocal technique & critiquing.  Students in this choir may also choose to audition for the swing choir; a group that meets prior to the regular school day.
